Local Attractions

We have a host of things to do on our doorstep, our beautiful beaches both North and South Coast are great for walking, surfing, kite flying and sunbathing. To name a few we have; Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Rock, Constantine Bay, and Watergate Bay near Newquay.

Walking and cycling – we are a mile from the Camel Trail which goes from Wenford Bridge through Bodmin and to Wadebridge and Padstow beyond. Bikes are available to hire nearby and walkers love it too.

There are many wonderful coastal walks throughout North Cornwall with panoramic views and then there’s the Moor – Rough Tor and Brown Willie have some of the best views across the area.

Golfing – we are extremely well located for the golfing fraternity with some excellent courses nearby and include Bowood Park near Lanteglos, Lanhydrock and Lostwithiel, Trevose and St Enodoc to name a few.

If you want gardens we have the Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey, which are renowned for their restoration of the original historic gardens and well worth a visit no matter what time of year. Lanhydrock National Trust is close by offering a magnificent late Victorian country house with extensive servants' quarters, gardens and wooded estate.

The Eden Project is the largest greenhouse in the world with three biomes to explore which have been dug out of a former china clay pit. It has plenty of parking, lots to see and do and has a restaurant too so you can take your time and make a day of it.
